Storm windows for old 2x2 wooden windows?
I am planning on restoring my 26 old wooden windows, including fixing the sashes, reglazing the glass, stripping and repainting the frames, fixing the counterweights, adding weatherstripping, etc. And I'd like to add storm windows (the hardware for the originals is still there, but the oldies dissappeared under a previous owner's tenure.) Any experiences or advice out there? Inside vs outside storms? Materials? Anyone good that makes these? Thanks all...
I am not really looking to replace my old wondows. I have yet to meet the vinyl windows that actually lasted longer than 15 years without fogging up, etc. And I live in S. Louisiana, so it's not like it gets to -30 during the winter. But I would like to add a seasonal second layer to help with drafts, etc.
