repair a wooden door with holes in it?

I locked myself out of my house & had to kick the front door in. Is there a way to repair the hole in the door? It's a hollow wooden door.
Thanks!

Answer:
You might see if you can get a sheet of Formica laminate in a wood grain finish and contact cement it into place. Take off the doorknob and after you cement the laminate down, drill a hole for the doorknob and reattach that.

Alternatively if it is a standard size door that goes into a standard size frame you might buy a pre-hung one and put just the door part onto the existing hinges.

It would have been cheaper and easier to break a window so all your would need to replace was a piece of glass. Giving a neighbor a key or keeping a spare in your wallet might be a good thought for next time.
