where can i find non standard size wooden exterior doors?
I mean non-standard in thickness of door, not height and width. I need a door that is 1 3/8 instead of the standard 1 1/2.
Answer: Sounds like someone installed an interior door in an exterior application. A local lumberyard with a millwork shop will be able to accomcdate you, but the price will probably be high.
A better bet might be to buy a pre-hung steel exterior door unit that includes a new frame and threshold. Installation shouldn't be too difficult and the price may even be less than a reworked new wooden door. Locksets and a storm door will also be easy to install in a modern standard sized opening. You will also eliminate the problems of swelling and weatherstripping usually found with wooden exterior doors.
